Investigation underway into plane crash near Williston, with 3 presumed fatalities

A small aircraft crashed near the Williston Regional Airport in Levy County, Florida on Sunday, resulting in the tragic loss of all three individuals on board, according to officials. The plane, a Beechcraft Baron 58P from 1976 registered to 424 Ventures LLC of St. Petersburg, exploded after hitting a peanut field about a mile northwest of the airport. The pilot had filed a flight plan to stop for refueling in Williston while returning from Kentucky, but it is unknown where the plane was headed after that. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, with authorities examining factors such as weather conditions, mechanical issues, or pilot error. The National Transportation Safety Board has launched an inquiry into the incident.
