Investigation underway into fatal Oak Ridge collision
A fatal car crash that occurred in Oak Ridge on Tuesday afternoon is currently being investigated by the local authorities. The incident took place at approximately 1:15 p.m. when a vehicle heading south on North Illinois Avenue near West Outer Drive veered into northbound lanes, hitting two vehicles before going off the road. Sadly, the driver of the southbound vehicle, 62-year-old John Hall from Oak Ridge, was fatally injured and pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. The driver of the second vehicle sustained injuries and was also hospitalized. Fortunately, the driver and passengers in the third vehicle were unharmed. The Oak Ridge Police Department has stated that their investigation into the crash is ongoing.
