Investigation underway into deadly pedestrian accident in Modesto
The Modesto Police Department is currently looking into an incident where a pedestrian was tragically hit and killed by a vehicle on Paradise Road early Friday morning. The collision occurred around 12:25 a.m. when a sedan traveling eastbound hit the pedestrian near Leon Avenue. Despite the efforts of responding officers and medical personnel, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle cooperated with authorities and does not seem to have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The victim’s identity has not been disclosed yet, and any witnesses are encouraged to reach out to Officer Beverson at [email protected]. The investigation is still ongoing.
