Investigation underway into deadly accident on Hanbury Road
The Chesapeake Police Department is currently investigating a tragic car accident that took place on Hanbury Road, resulting in the loss of 19-year-old Connor James Dommel. The incident, which occurred between the 300 and 400 block of Hanbury Road, was reported at around 6:35 a.m. Chesapeake authorities extended their condolences to the Dommel family and emphasized the importance of safe driving practices, urging motorists to be cautious of their speed and road conditions. In response to the crash, Hanbury Road West was temporarily closed as officials worked to determine the cause of the accident. Despite the road closure, all lanes have now been reopened.
