Investigation underway for fatal hit-and-run in Denton.
Over the weekend, police were called to two separate car accidents in the area. The first incident occurred when a vehicle hit another one at the intersection of N. Loop 288 and N. Elm Street before fleeing the scene. Shortly after, a vehicle flipped and caught fire on the northbound side of I-35 frontage road at N. Elm Street, resulting in the driver's death. There are similarities between the hit-and-run vehicle and the one involved in the fatal crash. The driver's identity has not been released, and investigations are still in progress according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
