Investigation underway for deadly I-15 multi-vehicle collision
A fatal multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 15 near Carmel Mountain Ranch on Sunday morning is being investigated by authorities. California Highway Patrol reported one fatality and several injuries in the crash involving a white Ram pickup truck, a grey Volvo, a green Lexus, and a white Tesla. The white Ram truck allegedly veered into other lanes, causing a chain reaction collision. The Volvo driver was killed, while others sustained varying degrees of injuries. The incident did not involve alcohol or drugs, and CHP San Diego Area is looking into the details. Traffic disruptions occurred with the closure of the carpool lane until noon.
