Investigation underway for deadly hit-and-run in Denton
Over the weekend, police were called to two separate car accidents in Denton. In the first incident at 12:27 a.m. on Sunday at N. Loop 288 and N. Elm Street, a vehicle collided with another and drove off. Around 12:29 a.m., a second crash occurred on the northbound side of I-35 frontage road and N. Elm Street involving a single vehicle that flipped and caught fire, resulting in the driver's death. The hit-and-run vehicle matches the description of the one involved in the fatal crash. The driver's identity has not been released by the medical examiner's office, and investigations are ongoing.
