Investigation underway for deadly Everett Road accident
A man passed away following a collision between two vehicles on Everett Road in Albany, New York. The incident occurred near the I-90 exit ramp at approximately 5:45 p.m. The man, aged 34, sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene despite treatment by emergency responders. A 29-year-old individual operating the other vehicle was arrested for suspected impairment and taken to Albany Medical Center for minor injuries. Once he is medically cleared, charges will be filed against him. The initial findings suggest that the victim's vehicle was struck by the second vehicle, traveling northbound on Everett Road, as he exited the off-ramp onto Everett Road. Police continue to actively investigate the incident, with Everett Road being temporarily closed due to the crash. The victim's identity will not be disclosed until the family has been informed.
