Investigation underway after deadly small plane crash in upstate New York

An investigation is currently being conducted after a plane crash in Copake, New York, on Saturday. The twin-engine aircraft, a Mitsubishi MU-2B-40, carrying six passengers, went down in an open field in the area. The flight was en route to Columbia County Airport in Hudson. Authorities revealed that all six individuals on board are presumed to have died. Various agencies, including the FAA, New York State Police, and the county coroner, responded to the scene. The National Transportation Safety Board is overseeing the investigation, hampered in part by muddy conditions at the crash site. Individuals are urged to contact the Columbia County Sheriff's Office with any information about the incident. Further updates are anticipated on Sunday.
