Investigation ongoing into crash that claimed lives of 5 Dallas women

Tragically, five women from Dallas lost their lives in a multi-vehicle accident in Burnet County that occurred on a Friday evening just north of Austin. The collision involved a Ram truck pulling a livestock trailer crossing into oncoming traffic and striking a Chevy Malibu and a Mercedes SUV, causing the SUV to flip and catch fire. Regrettably, all five victims were in the Mercedes SUV and were pronounced dead at the scene. The individuals in the other vehicles sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Brianna Valadez, one of the victims, was remembered by Oak Cliff pediatrics as a bright light with a gentle spirit who warmly welcomed all families. The other victims were identified as Thalia Salinas, Ruby Cruz, Desiree Cervantez, and Jacqueline Velazco. GoFundMe pages have been set up for the families of the victims, highlighting the profound impact of their lives. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation, and the families have chosen to hold off on making public statements until the investigation is concluded.
