Investigation ongoing for fatal rollover on I-10 near 43rd Ave.
A rollover accident on I-10 in west Phoenix resulted in at least one fatality on Saturday morning, as confirmed by the Arizona Department of Public Safety. While the DPS verified that the crash was fatal, the total number of casualties is unknown. DPS officers were dispatched to the westbound lanes of the highway close to 43rd Avenue early in the morning for a multi-vehicle collision. Video from the Arizona Department of Transportation showed two vehicles involved in the incident, with one truck overturned against the center median barrier. The extent of injuries sustained is not specified. The westbound lanes were shut down for an investigation, and have since reopened. The cause of the crash is currently being looked into.
