Investigation on Fatal Collision on I-580 in Dublin between Tesla and Honda Accord
A collision between a Honda Accord and a Tesla Model Y resulted in the death of a 66-year-old man in Dublin early Sunday morning. The California Highway Patrol in Dublin responded to the incident, which took place on eastbound Interstate 580 west of Grant Line Road around 4:45 a.m. Authorities found that a 21-year-old man from Stockton was driving the Accord and rear-ended the Tesla, driven by the 66-year-old man from Tracy, who tragically lost his life. The Accord driver sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Valley Care Medical Center. The CHP is investigating the possibility of DUI playing a role in the crash, and the Accord driver has been arrested and booked at Alameda County Santa Rita Jail.
