Investigation of fatal accident on Maybank Highway
The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is currently looking into a fatal accident that occurred early Thursday morning on Maybank Highway. Authorities were called to the scene at the intersection of Maybank Highway and Oak Grove Road around 1:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a vehicle veering off the road and colliding with a tree. The sole occupant of the vehicle, the driver, was pronounced dead at the accident site.
