Federal investigators are currently looking into the recent helicopter crash near Alton, Illinois, that tragically resulted in the loss of two lives. The National Transportation Safety Board is leading the investigation, reporting that the helicopter collided with power lines before plummeting onto a barge in the Mississippi River, causing a fire. The victims, identified by St. Charles County officials as pilot Nicholas Fulton, 35, and passenger Michael Curry, 37, were employed by J.F. Electric and were conducting maintenance work for Ameren at the time of the crash.
