Investigation of Deadly Collision in Canyon County by Idaho State Police
Idaho State Police are currently examining a tragic incident that took place at approximately 5:17 p.m. at the intersection of Emmett Road and Hollow Road. The collision involved a blue 2015 Toyota Scion TC driven by a 31-year-old woman from Emmett, which crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a dark blue 2022 RAM 3500 driven by a 50-year-old man from Caldwell. Two passengers in the RAM, a 50-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man, were wearing seat belts, whereas the Toyota driver was not belted and unfortunately succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The female passenger from the RAM was airlifted to a nearby hospital, while the driver and male passenger were transported by ground ambulance for medical attention. The Idaho State Police are working alongside the Canyon County Sheriff's Office, paramedics, Middleton Fire, and Gem County Sheriff's Office in the ongoing investigation.
