Investigation of deadly accident on Lloyd Expressway by deputies
A deadly collision occurred this morning on the Lloyd Expressway in Henderson, Ky. Vanderburgh County deputies are currently in the process of investigating the incident, which involved a semi-trailer and an SUV at the intersection of the Lloyd and Middle McDowell Road. Tragically, the SUV driver sustained critical injuries and tragically succumbed to those injuries at a local hospital. The driver of the semi-trailer was unharmed and cooperated with authorities, undergoing a chemical test as per Indiana law. The road will remain closed while investigations continue, with traffic being redirected accordingly. The identity of the deceased will be disclosed by the coroner's office once the family has been informed.
