Investigation of Air India crash deaths focuses on black box data

Investigators in India are currently examining the flight data and cockpit voice recorders recovered from the wreckage of a Boeing 787 Dreamliner that crashed last week, resulting in the deaths of at least 270 individuals. By analyzing the data from the black boxes, they aim to determine the cause of the tragic incident. The aircraft, bound for London, crashed shortly after departing from Ahmedabad, resulting in numerous fatalities. The data from the black boxes will offer critical insights into the cockpit conversations and the plane's engine and control settings, aiding investigators in piecing together the events leading up to the crash. Collaborating with experts from the U.K., the U.S., and Boeing, the Aviation Accident Investigation Bureau in India is leading the investigation into the crash. Amit Singh, an aviation expert, stressed the significance of the black box data in unraveling the sequence of events, as well as the importance of reviewing various factors such as pilot training records and aircraft maintenance history. The investigation is expected to be meticulous and time-consuming, with a high-level committee set up by the Indian government to analyze the crash causes and establish preventive measures for future air emergencies.
