Investigation into several fatal accidents on I-30 by Arkansas State Police
Early Monday morning in Hempstead County, Arkansas, a series of fatal crashes occurred on Interstate-30, causing significant traffic delays until around noon. The first crash happened when a contractor placing reflectors on the highway was struck and killed by a vehicle, with the driver fleeing the scene. Following this, a second minor crash involving a Chevrolet Tahoe and a tractor-trailer caused more traffic buildup, leading to a third, more serious crash involving multiple vehicles including a Dodge pickup. This final crash resulted in the deaths of two passengers and serious injuries to others. The crashes are currently under investigation, and authorities are looking for the driver involved in the initial incident. The identities of the victims have not yet been disclosed.
