Investigation into Fatal Nelson County Crash
A fatal accident in Nelson County resulted in the death of one individual and injuries to another, as reported by Kentucky State Police. The Bardstown Police Department requested the KSP to investigate the accident that occurred early Saturday morning on West Stephen Foster Avenue. Initial findings by the KSP revealed that a single vehicle carrying two occupants had veered off the road, colliding with a tree and a parked car. The driver was airlifted to UofL Hospital with critical injuries, while the passenger, Morgan Williamson, 27, was taken to Flaget Hospital where she later passed away. West Stephen Foster Avenue was temporarily closed after the incident but has since reopened. The cause of the crash is currently being investigated.
