Investigation into fatal multi-vehicle crash on Bay Bridge
A fatal multi-vehicle crash occurred on the Bay Bridge on Friday night, reported by the California Highway Patrol. The collision involved a white Genesis sedan and other vehicles on Interstate 80 at around 11:17 p.m. The Genesis was speeding and failed to slow down, causing it to rear-end a silver Toyota Corolla which led to subsequent collisions with two more vehicles. Tragically, the driver of the silver Corolla lost his life in the crash. The CHP determined that alcohol or drugs were not involved. The Genesis driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
