Investigation into Air India Boeing 787 crash in Ahmedabad.

Following the tragic crash of Air India's Boeing 787-8 airplane shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad airport, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), a component of the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), will conduct an investigation. The AAIB is responsible for analyzing severe aircraft accidents within Indian airspace and is anticipated to release an investigation report within a year of the incident. After the Air India flight carrying 242 individuals crashed near Ahmedabad airport, senior AAIB officials promptly traveled to the site where they will carry out a thorough evidence collection process. This investigation will encompass gathering perishable evidence, locating and examining critical components like the black boxes, and analyzing recorded data from various sources such as ATC, radar stations, and meteorological records. The AAIB will establish an investigation team comprising experts from diverse backgrounds, including pilots, engineers, and air traffic controllers, with the cooperation of Boeing. International involvement will also feature accredited representatives from countries involved with the aircraft manufacturer and operator. The next phase will involve a comprehensive examination of the evidence, leading to the creation of a report containing factual information, analysis, conclusions, and safety recommendations in accordance with ICAO guidelines. This report will be reviewed by various stakeholders before being finalized and disclosed to the public. The completion of this investigation and the publishing of the report should occur within one year of the accident, after which regulatory authorities will implement the recommendations detailed in the report to enhance aviation safety standards. In response to this incident, the Civil Aviation Minister has announced the formation of a high-level committee to further investigate the matter and bolster aviation safety to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
