Interstate 95 north in East Lyme shut down after tractor-trailer crash and fire
At around 6:49 a.m. today near exit 72 in East Lyme, a collision between a tractor-trailer and a car caused the trailer to catch fire, resulting in closure of the northbound side of Interstate 95 between exits 72 and 73. State police have reported minor injuries and are uncertain about when the highway will reopen. Drivers are advised to find alternate routes, and updates will be provided by News 8.
