Interstate 465 in Hamilton County temporarily shut down after crash
In Carmel County, Indiana, law enforcement officers apprehended an individual following a vehicle collision that occurred on Saturday evening on Interstate 465. Emergency response services from multiple departments were dispatched to the scene near mile marker 30 of the westbound lane between West 96th Street and Springmill Road around 6:07 p.m. to address the incident. Upon arrival, responders found two vehicles involved in the crash, with no reported injuries. The Carmel Police Department took the man into custody on suspicion of fleeing the crash scene, while Hamilton County officials temporarily closed all lanes of I-465 westbound for investigation. The roadway gradually reopened to traffic starting at 6:40 p.m.
