Interstate 24 East now open after multiple-vehicle collision
Interstate 24 East in Rutherford County experienced a temporary complete closure earlier today due to a multi-vehicle crash at mile marker 65.8. The accident involved an SUV and a semi-truck, as reported by the Tennessee Department of Transportation. A LifeFlight helicopter responded to the scene, and the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office asked for drivers' patience as emergency crews worked to investigate and clear the area. At 11:49 a.m., two out of the four lanes have since reopened for traffic flow.
