Intersection closed in Waxahachie due to cattle trailer crash

The trailer was carrying a total of 20 bulls and 32 calves, with most of the animals being unharmed and transferred to a different trailer. A veterinarian was summoned to provide care for the remaining animals. The truck driver was also hospitalized for injuries. SKY 4 footage depicted a heavy presence of law enforcement and firefighters at the scene. Officials mentioned that a hazardous materials team arrived due to a fuel leak. While Highway 287 is still accessible, the intersection at FM 77 remains closed. The duration of the cleanup operation and the closure of the intersection have not been determined.
