Insights into fatal Piedmont Cybertruck crash from recently published video and images

Newly revealed photos and videos from a tragic crash in Piedmont provide additional insights into the aftermath of an accident that claimed the lives of three college sophomores traveling in a Tesla Cybertruck. KTVU has obtained 16 videos and 102 still photos through a California Public Records Request, shedding light on the events that transpired on Nov. 27, 2024. The footage, from police body cameras and neighborhood surveillance cameras, shows the moments leading up to the crash. While prior reports had already detailed much of what occurred, this new visual evidence offers never-before-seen details and heartbreaking moments, such as cleaner images of the Cybertruck and the emotional reactions of those involved. The videos do not capture the actual collision or the vehicle on fire, but they do depict impactful scenes, including the moment Jordan Miller's father learned his son was the sole survivor. The documentation also includes interviews with witnesses, the attempted rescue of passengers, and conversations between police and those at the scene. Families involved have chosen to maintain privacy and have not yet spoken publicly about the tragedy.
