Inmates from Dallas County in bus crash, according to sheriff's office
Several inmates from Dallas County are in the process of recovering following a collision in Arlington on Tuesday morning. The Arlington Police Department reported that at approximately 7:20 a.m., a van carrying 11 inmates was part of an accident on I-30 at Highway 360. The incident occurred when a pickup truck changed lanes abruptly in front of the van and abruptly halted. According to APD, the van tried to brake but ended up rear-ending the pickup truck. All the inmates and the pickup truck driver, who sustained minor injuries, were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Additionally, an employee from the Dallas County Sheriff's Office was treated and released at the crash site. The authorities are currently investigating the crash.
