Injury sustained in Kennedy Expressway crash near Cumberland Avenue.
A man was injured in an overnight shooting on the Kennedy Expressway. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on southbound I-90 at Cumberland Avenue, where the man was driving when he was shot. As a result, his vehicle collided with a semi-truck, also involving another car. The man was transported to the hospital with injuries, while no other injuries were reported. The southbound lanes were temporarily closed for investigation and reopened before 4 a.m. The Illinois State Police continue to investigate the matter.
