Injuries reported in garbage truck and car collision in northeast Columbus
Three individuals were sent to the hospital on Tuesday following a collision between a car and a garbage truck in a northeast Columbus neighborhood. The incident took place around 12:30 p.m. at the corner of St. Clair Avenue and East 5th Avenue. Emergency services rushed all three injured individuals to nearby hospitals. One person, who was initially believed to be deceased, was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition after they were found to still have a pulse. Another individual was also taken to Grant in critical condition, while the third victim was sent to Ohio State East Hospital in stable condition. The cause of the accident and the number of occupants in each vehicle remain unclear at this time.
