Emergency responders were called to a vehicle rescue on Wednesday morning following a collision, as reported by Austin-Travis County EMS. Medical personnel stated that one individual was trapped, and several patients were involved in the accident. An update from ATCEMS indicated that three individuals were transported to the hospital following the incident—specifically, one adult with critical injuries and one adult and one child with serious, yet non-life-threatening, injuries. The crash occurred near the intersection of East William Cannon Drive and Branchwood Drive in southeast Austin. The Austin Police Department confirmed the involvement of two vehicles and advised that the western lanes of William Cannon Drive are currently closed, with traffic being rerouted down Stone Lane within the neighborhood.
