Injuries reported after crash on Baltimore-Washington Parkway: USPP
A traffic collision on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway caused the closure of all northbound lanes near South Laurel early Thursday morning. The United States Park Police reported to DC News Now about the two-vehicle accident at approximately 3:50 a.m. close to MD 198. Authorities mentioned that serious injuries occurred, though the exact number of individuals injured remains uncertain. While crews clear the accident scene, all northbound lanes were shut down temporarily but have since been reopened. Traffic was directed to MD 197 near Bowie Road. Additionally, the USPP notified DC News Now of several other traffic incidents on the BW Parkway due to weather conditions that same morning. The Maryland Department of Transportation issued warnings about crashes along the parkway that affected commuters on Thursday morning.
