Chopper 4 observed a collision between two vehicles in the eastbound lanes of the Palmetto near Northwest 17th Avenue. Initially, all eastbound lanes were shut down as crews worked to clear the area. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue reported that one person was taken to a nearby hospital in an unspecified condition and another person was successfully extricated from one of the vehicles.
