Injured passenger and driver charged in Bristol collision
In Bristol, Connecticut, a driver named Ronald Makszin, 30, of Plymouth, faced charges after an early morning crash. The incident occurred when Makszin failed to navigate a curve on Lake Avenue, resulting in his vehicle crashing into the parking lot of Terry Commons on Middle Street. Makszin was able to exit the vehicle, but one passenger was injured, and another was seriously injured. The seriously injured passenger underwent surgery, while the other was taken to a hospital for evaluation. Makszin was charged with driving under the influence, assault with a motor vehicle, and other offenses. Road closures were lifted later in the morning.
