Injured construction worker taken to hospital after on-site incident
A construction worker sustained severe injuries in a workplace incident at the Ellinikon construction site in Athens and is receiving treatment in the hospital. As per reports from national broadcaster ERT, the worker, aged 55, fell into an elevator shaft that was 10 meters deep at approximately 11 a.m. Prompt action by his coworkers, along with assistance from the police and ambulance personnel, led to the man being rescued from the shaft. He was subsequently taken to Tzaneio hospital in Piraeus.
