Infant hurt in Hawaii Island road accident passes away
Tragic news out of Hawaii Island, as a three-week-old baby girl has passed away following a recent two-vehicle collision on Daniel K. Inouye Highway. The incident occurred on Oct. 23 and resulted in the loss of the infant as well as the mother, with multiple family members sustaining serious injuries, including a four-year-old boy. The collision took place near the 25-mile marker, when a Toyota pickup truck drifted across lanes and collided with a Subaru. The driver of the pickup truck, identified as 43-year-old Kimo Medeiros, is suspected of driving under the influence and faces multiple charges related to the accident.
