Infant discovered under vehicle after accident on 60 Freeway in Chino; Westbound lanes blocked

A tragic rollover crash on the westbound 60 Freeway in Chino early Monday morning resulted in two fatalities and left two others, including a child, in critical condition. The accident occurred just west of the Ramona Avenue onramp around 2 a.m. Emergency crews arrived at the scene to find a severely damaged vehicle that had crashed into the embankment. Two adults were pronounced dead at the scene, according to Chino Valley Fire District spokesperson, Dean Smith. Another adult and a child, described as a baby in the California Highway Patrol incident log, were rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The baby had been thrown from the vehicle during the crash and was discovered beneath it, as reported by the CHP. The incident led to the closure of all westbound lanes on the 60 Freeway. The reopening time for the lanes is currently unknown, as investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
