
Infant dies in crash into pole and home
A tragic accident occurred in Maryland on Sunday, resulting in the death of a six-month-old infant from Pennsylvania. Maryland State Police reported that a Dodge Durango collided with a telephone pole and then crashed into a house along Woodsboro Pike/Route 194 in Frederick County. Fortunately, no one was inside the residence at the time of the crash. The infant was airlifted to Johns Hopkins Children's Center but was pronounced dead. A three-year-old child and a 26-year-old woman who were also in the vehicle were taken to The Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment. The driver was unharmed. The police stated that impairment is not believed to be a factor in the accident, but an investigation is ongoing. Stay tuned to News 8 for further updates.
