
Inexperienced solo driver causes serious injury to 2 adolescents, perpetrator remains at large.
A 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy were seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident in Novato early Wednesday morning, according to police. The driver of the vehicle is currently missing. Novato Police Department responded to a car crash on Ignacio Boulevard between Palmer Drive and Entrada Drive at around 3 a.m., where they found the two teenage passengers in a white Ford Edge that had sustained extensive damage. The girl is in critical condition at a regional trauma center, while the boy is in stable condition at a local hospital with significant injuries. Despite efforts by the Marin County Sheriff drone team, the driver has not been located. Detectives and traffic investigators are working to locate the driver, and it is unclear at this time if intoxication played a role in the crash.
