IndyCar Detroit GP: Race halted after severe crash - video

During the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix on Sunday, a serious accident involving drivers Louis Foster and Felix Rosenqvist led to the race being red-flagged towards the end. Foster's car experienced a suspension failure, causing him to collide with the outside wall and then Rosenqvist. Both drivers sustained significant impacts, with Rosenqvist hitting the tire barrier hard and Foster sliding off towards the runoff area. Rosenqvist has been evaluated and released from the infield care center, with further assessment required at the IMU for his IndyCar evaluation. Both drivers informed their teams they were okay, but Rosenqvist had leg pain and was taken off-track on a stretcher for medical attention. Despite the incident, both drivers were able to exit their cars unassisted. Foster expressed confusion regarding the accident, attributing it to the bumpy track conditions. The event was stopped with 13 laps remaining to clear the track and address any necessary safety repairs.
