Individual airlifted following collision with agricultural combine in Boone County
A person was taken to a hospital by air ambulance after a farming combine accident in Belvidere, Illinois on Wednesday night. Emergency crews from Boone County Fire District 2 responded to the scene on Genoa Road near Cahoon Road and found someone trapped in a vehicle. The individual was rescued within 15 minutes and airlifted for medical treatment. The combine operator involved was unharmed. Fire Chief Jay Diebold emphasized the importance of attentiveness and caution on the roads during harvest season, as heavy farm equipment will be moving between fields.
