IMPD reacts to deadly accident in west Indianapolis
An inquiry has been initiated following a collision between a bike and a box truck that resulted in the death of a man on the west side of Indianapolis on Friday afternoon. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a crash at the intersection of Miller Street and S. Lynhurst Drive. Reports suggest that an adult male on a bicycle was hit by a box truck while on Miller Street. The truck driver stayed at the scene and assisted the authorities. The IMPD's Fatal Crash Investigations team is managing the investigation and updates will be provided as additional information is gathered.
