On Monday, the military announced the tragic loss of Warrant Officer Dejen Daniel Sahalo in a car accident during an operational activity near the Gaza border. Warrant Officer Sahalo, aged 41 and from Rehovot, was a dedicated member of the 5067th Engineering Battalion, Combat Engineering Corps. His passing brings the total number of soldiers who have lost their lives since October 7 last year to 854, as reported by the IDF. Specifically, 413 of these brave soldiers were martyred since the commencement of the military's ground operations in the Strip on October 27.
