Identity revealed in deadly Deadwood collision
The South Dakota Highway Patrol has released the name of the Lead, SD man who passed away in a two-vehicle collision in Deadwood on Thursday morning. According to reports, Joseph Bernard Schumacher was operating a 2011 Honda Ridgeline heading west on Highway 14A near mile marker 40 when his vehicle veered into the opposite lane and crashed into an eastbound Ford F-550. Both vehicles ultimately stopped in the eastbound lanes. Sadly, Schumacher was declared deceased at the site of the accident, while the driver of the Ford remained unharmed. Authorities are currently looking into the incident.
