Identity of Kansas man confirmed in deadly Colorado skiing mishap

A person from Kansas, identified as 20-year-old Andrew McDonald from Shawnee, tragically passed away after colliding with a tree while skiing at Winter Park Resort in Colorado. The incident occurred on the Lupin trail, an intermediate to advanced slope, just before 11 a.m. Tuesday. Despite receiving CPR from fellow skiers, McDonald did not survive and was later pronounced dead at the hospital on the resort's premises. The Fraser Winter Park Police Department confirmed that McDonald had been wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Authorities expressed their condolences to the victim's loved ones, echoing Winter Park Resort's sentiments during this challenging period.
