Identifying victims of Green Valley plane crash
An update from the Pima County Sheriff's Department at 2:42 p.m. on June 20 revealed that the victims of the plane crash were identified as Miguel Ornelas, a 41-year-old student pilot, and Robert Guerrero, a 74-year-old flight instructor. The crash in Green Valley was reported just after 2:30 p.m., after the US Air Force notified PCSD that a plane from Ryan Airfield had not returned. PCSD's Search and Rescue Traffic Unit located the crash site using the plane's last coordinates, and a helicopter confirmed the occupants' fatalities. PCSD is now collaborating with the FAA and NTSB in their investigation. An earlier report from the FAA indicated that two individuals lost their lives in the crash involving a Cessna A150.
