Identifying second girl killed in sailboat crash near Miami Beach

The family of a 7-year-old girl who tragically passed away in a sailboat accident off Miami Beach on Monday has arrived in South Florida from Argentina. Similarly, a school in Chile has identified the second deceased girl as one of their former students. The Colegio San Pedro Nolasco Vitacura in Santiago, Chile, shared an obituary for Erin Victoria Ko Han, stating that she had been a student at the school from 2016 to 2024 before moving to the United States with her family. While the school confirmed the connection to the 13-year-old girl who passed away in the incident, American authorities have not officially verified this detail. The 7-year-old victim, Mila Yankelevich, was the granddaughter of acclaimed Argentine media producers Cris Morena and Gustavo Yankelevich. Presently, two survivors of the accident are in critical condition. The Miami Yacht Club, responsible for the summer sailing camp where the incident occurred, is requesting privacy during this challenging time and has temporarily closed its facilities to support response efforts and respect the affected families.
