This week, the individual involved in a tragic accident in Huntington Beach was identified as Kolby Aipa, a 20-year-old who was the grandson of renowned surfboard shaper Ben Aipa. According to police reports, Kolby was riding an e-bike on the Pacific Coast Highway while being towed by a friend driving a Toyota Tacoma. Unfortunately, Kolby lost control and collided with the pickup truck. Despite immediate medical attention, he passed away from his injuries on Tuesday. The incident is currently under investigation by the Huntington Beach Police Department, and they are urging anyone with information to come forward. Kolby's family, known for their contributions to the surfing community, expressed their heartbreak over the loss of their beloved family member.
