Identified: NY Legislator as Victim in Block Island Plane Crash.

New York officials have identified the individual who passed away on Wednesday following a plane accident on Block Island as 77-year-old Daniel P. Wilson. Wilson, a District 5 legislator according to Montgomery County officials, tragically lost his life as a result of a failed landing attempt at Block Island State Airport. Described as a caring and intelligent man by County Executive Pete Vroman, Wilson's more than five decades as a civil engineer were regarded as a valuable contribution to the team. The other two individuals on board, an 87-year-old pilot and a 77-year-old female passenger, were airlifted to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment and are expected to recover.
