IDENTIFIED: Motorcyclist killed after garbage truck crash in Fresno County

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The motorcyclist who was killed following a crash with a garbage truck in Fresno County earlier this week has been identified by the Fresno County Coroner's Office. The crash took place on Monday at around 1 p.m. on South Temperance Avenue and East Clemenceau Avenue. The motorcyclist and the garbage truck were both going north on Temperance Avenue when the garbage truck turned while the motorcyclist was attempting to pass. The motorcyclist then collided with the garbage truck, killing the driver. On Wednesday, the coroner's office named the motorcyclist as 30-year-old Evan Reed of Selma. The man driving the garbage truck had no reported injuries but was transported to the hospital for evaluation. The California Highway Patrol has officially released no further information about the incident.
