Authorities in Santa Monica have named the victims of a tragic hit-and-run incident that occurred over the weekend. The individuals were identified as Maura Cohen and Brad Lipshy, both 61 years old. The incident took place when a driver operating an orange Dodge Charger drove onto the sidewalk near Wilshire Boulevard and Euclid Avenue, resulting in the deaths of Cohen and Lipshy. Disturbing cellphone footage captured the aftermath of the crash as the suspect fled the scene, with surveillance video showing the car traveling in the wrong direction. Friends of the victims paid tribute to Lipshy, who was known as the founder and CEO of a local company called Event Solutions. Lipshy was described as a dedicated figure in his community, known for his passion for fitness and football. The suspect remains at large, described as a man wearing specific clothing.
